How are Geotab vehicles tagged for HAAS Alert?

This article outlines the steps to create and assign a group of vehicles connected to Safety Cloud®.

During the initial Geotab integration with the HAAS Alert Customer Support Engineer, a Geotab group will be created for those vehicles connected to Safety Cloud. Vehicles may be added or removed from the group as needed up to the number of Safety Cloud subscriptions purchased.

Create a Group

1. Click on "Rules & Groups"

2. Click on "Groups"

3. Click on the "+" icon

Ensure the Group name is "HAAS Alert"

Add Vehicles to the Group

1. Click on "Vehicles & Assets"

2. Click on the "Select" button on the top right side and choose between selecting the vehicles individually or selecting them all

If the number of vehicles selected exceeds the number of subscribed Safety Cloud activations, relevant vehicles may not communicate to Safety Cloud.

3. Once the vehicles have been selected, click the "More" dropdown and choose "Edit Selected Devices"

Multi-Asset Selection

4. In the Edit Assets screen, in the Groups section, click on "Add Groups", then select HAAS Alert from the Groups dropdown.

5. Click "Save"

Single-Asset Selection

4. In the Edit Assets screen, click on "Select groups..." then choose "HAAS Alert"

5. Click "Save"
