Assets in the Safety Cloud® Dashboard are shown with default names based on the type of device. For Digital Alerting Transponders, this will be the device serial number. For integrated assets (e.g., Cradlepoint, Samsara), it will be the name as provided by their platform.
To update the asset name (we call these 'nicknames'), follow these steps:
Digital Alerting Transponder
- Click on Live in the left pane
- Click on an asset from the asset list
- Locate the Profile section and click on the gear icon
- In the Nickname field, enter the name you'd like to display for this asset
- Click on Save
Integration Assets
Please visit the dashboard for the integrated system, for example, Netcloud Manager for Ericcson Cradlepoint. From that system, update the naming as desired. Within 15 minutes, Safety Cloud Dashboard will reflect the new naming.
