How to wire the Ericsson R980 router for digital alerting

This article explains how to wire the Ericsson R980 router to send digital alerts to HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud.

The R980 is wired via the 4-pin square power port included with the router.

	Description	Pin-Out
	Connection Use the orange wire from the 4-pin square power port cable (Input / Pin 3). Connect the orange wire to the positive side of the vehicle's warning lights switch. If the orange wire is already used for ignition sensing, another option will be needed. R2R (if subscribed) will use the blue wire (Output / Pin 4).

Important Notes

• Only one wire is used to detect warning light activation
• Ensure connections are made to the positive side of the warning lights switch
• Always secure unused wires with heat shrink or electrical tape if using the extensibility cable
