How do I configure an auxiliary input in my Samsara dashboard?

This article will explain the steps to configure an auxiliary input to enable Safety Cloud® to read the data.

After you connect an auxiliary input to the Samsara Gateway, you must configure the auxiliary type and pin assignment from the asset overview.

1. On the Dashboard Overview, select the asset for which you connected an auxiliary input.
2. From the more actions menu ( ... ), select Settings.
3. In the Aux Input list, click + Add Aux Input.
4. Select the Aux Input Type as Emergency Lights
5. Select the Input Number (e.g., 2 when using the orange wire)
6. Save
